Nike, Major League Baseball, and Fanatics are rolling out a new class of City Connect uniforms for the 2026 season, continuing a program designed to bring each team’s identity closer to its community roots.

According to a press release, the latest collection leans heavily into storytelling, with designs shaped by the culture, history, and everyday life of the cities each franchise represents. Rather than simply updating aesthetics, the uniforms aim to reflect how teams connect with their fanbases, past and present.

Eight clubs are leading this next chapter of the initiative: the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers. Each organization worked alongside Nike to develop a look that captures its unique voice, drawing from local traditions, symbols, and shared experiences.

The result is a set of uniforms that feel both familiar and reimagined—blending classic elements with modern design choices meant to resonate with a new generation of fans. The goal, according to the partners, is to present each team not just as a franchise, but as a reflection of its city’s evolving story.

Fanatics will play a key role in bringing the collection to market, handling production and distribution to ensure the designs move seamlessly from concept to retail.

This marks the second City Connect iteration for all eight teams, building on earlier designs while pushing further into creative territory. The uniforms are expected to remain part of each team’s on-field rotation for multiple seasons.

The 2026 City Connect collection will be available beginning April 9 through Nike, MLB, and Fanatics platforms, as well as team stores and select retail locations.
