Nike is once again honoring the legendary 1996 NBA Draft Class that featured multiple future Hall of Famers, including Kobe Bryant, with an upcoming Kobe release.

Newly leaked images from @prm.cotd on Instagram of the unreleased “Draft Day” Kobe 4 Protro suggest that this pair is part of a larger pack. This red and purple-accented colorway specifically appears to correspond with the Toronto Raptors being the no. 2 pick in the ‘96 draft, which is referenced on the insole. Behind the tongues are tags that say “1996 Draft” and “13 K. Bryant,” indicating that Bryant was drafted at 13 that year.

Nike has previously released a Charlotte Hornets-colored “Draft Day” Kobe 4 that dropped during the sneaker’s original run, then again in 2019, which pays homage to the team that originally drafted Bryant in ‘96.

Despite images surfacing, release details for this upcoming “Draft Day” Kobe 4 Protro have yet to be announced by Nike. Check back soon for new developments.
