Nike is bringing back the Nike Kobe 11s that Kobe Bryant wore in his final NBA game back on April 13, 2016, as evidenced by these leaked images here.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Bryant’s final season in the NBA, so the timing of the rerelease makes sense and is noted in the packaging on this upcoming “Fade to Black” Kobe 11 Protro. Aside from Bryant wearing this sneaker in his final game, the Black Mamba also put up a 60-point performance in the finale.
This all-black Kobe 11 colorway was part of a multi-shoe “Fade to Black” Nike collection from 2016 to celebrate Bryant’s retirement that year. The styles included 13 sneakers that were released chronologically, and the color schemes darkened across the drops as a nod to his retirement.
At the time of writing, the “Fade to Black” Kobe 11 Protro is slated to drop on April 13, but the official details have yet to be announced by Nike.
