The inside of the trainer is made of a stretchy neoprene fabric that’s meant to make things a little more snug, while jet black leather hits the lacing system. The Foamposite One rests on top of a thick Air sole, and it’s finished off with two pull tabs: one on the tongue, and one around the heel.

But wait, there’s more! Because these pull tabs are stitched with vertical gold, silver, and bronze stripes. Why? Because of the Olympics. It’s a brand new detail that wasn’t on CDG’s OG Foamposites, and it’s been introduced just in time to celebrate one the world’s biggest sporting event.

And something else that’s different to CDG’s OG Foamposites is the price. Because while its first pairs retailed for $520 each, the upcoming Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Cat Eye’ will be available exclusively at Dover Street Market on July 19 for just $325. That’s a 38% drop—and at a time when everything is already expensive as hell, it’s kinda nice.
