Nigel Sylvester’s “Brick by Brick” Air Jordan 4 was widely heralded as the sneaker of the year in 2025, including by Complex. “This AJ4 was more than just another sneaker release, it was years of bike riding, sacrifice, moving with purpose, and that ‘I will not lose’ attitude,” Sylvester said of his Sneaker of the Year win following ComplexCon 2025. Now, the BMX rider and Jordan Brand athlete is back with the follow-up Air Jordan 4 “Brick After Brick.”
This new Air Jordan 4 follows not only the “Brick by Brick” 4, but also 2025’s “Better With Time” Air Jordan 1 Low. The “Brick After Brick” Air Jordan 4 (IQ8055-100) features many of the elements from the original 4, like the “Bike Air” flip of the Nike logo on the heel and Jordan Biking Co. tongue tag, but this time utilizes a colorway reminiscent of the original “Fire Red” Air Jordan 4.

The most obvious difference between the “Brick After Brick” and “Brick by Brick” Air Jordan 4s is the colorway. The “Brick After Brick” features a similar shade of red, but rather than using it on the full upper, it features a blocking similar to the “Fire Red” Air Jordan 4 that debuted in 1989. Less obvious are the material flips. This time around, Sylvester utilized a more traditional smooth leather throughout the upper. The heel tab switches things up, and now uses a yellowed suede with the “Bike Air” logo embroidered in the back. It also features aged detailing on the netting, and sole, and the mini-Swoosh from the toe is back.
While there’s no official retailer information yet on the “Brick After Brick” Air Jordan 4s, Nigel Sylvester’s past Air Jordan releases have been notable for their extravagant activations. From the oversized brick driven through the streets of NYC to multi-continent Go Ride events, the releases have memorable. Past releases have also released through traditional channels including Nike SNRKS and select Jordan Brand accounts.
No official release date has been announced by Sylvester or Jordan Brand, but sources tell Complex that the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Brick After Brick” will be releasing in May 2026.
As with the release date, official pricing has yet to be revealed. The original “Brick by Brick” Air Jordan 4 from 2025 retailed for $225.
