On his 2023 track “We Not Like You,” the 17-year-old rapper Nettspend boasted about how he’s been “rockin’ real expensive fits.” Since then, the Richmond, Virginia native has become one of the buzziest and most divisive musicians on the most deep-fried corners of the internet. Now, not only is Nett leveling up his personal fashion cache, he’s parlaying his buzzy persona into a new gig altogether: walking the Miu Miu runway at Paris Fashion Week.

During the runway show for Miuccia Prada’s “little sister” label on Tuesday, Nettspend—whose real name is Gunner Shepardson—modeled a tawny wool set featuring a zippered, fur-collared jacket and slouchy trousers, with pointy leather boots. With his shaggy, peroxide-blond hair dyed black at the ends, he also modeled a very Bella Hadid-esque pair of narrow reading glasses.

Prior to his Miu Miu cameo, Nettspend, who frequently name drops designers like Rick Owens in his lyrics, has made several forays into the fashion world. He attended menswear week in Paris last June, a visit that included a conceptually “post-rage” cameo during a presentation for Guillermo Andrade’s LA-based label 424, as well as a memorable run-in with Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The rapper also recently collaborated with the designer and photographer Eli Russell Linnetz, who photographed the twisted album artwork for Nett’s debut mixtape BAD ASS F*CKING KID, which dropped in December. Nett also modeled for Russell Linnetz’s namesake brand ERL, and has often sported the label’s jet-puffed Vamp sneakers on stage during his concerts.

Miu Miu—a luxury brand that has made all the right moves to appeal to Gen Z, of which Nettspend is a preeminent member—has made a habit of featuring celebrity cameos during its recent runway shows, particularly from famous men such as pop star Troye Sivan and actor Willem Dafoe. Now that more men are flocking to the quirky womenswear label, Nettspend joins them in great company.
