50 Cent is coming after a jeweler who used the rapper’s likeness to promote and sell his chains.

TMZ reports that yesterday (Oct. 10), Fif filed a lawsuit against Maksud Trax Agadjani, better known as TraxNYC, for violating his right to publicity and trademark infringement. He’s seeking five million in damages.

TraxNYC is a popular jeweler who goes online to show off the pieces he has for sale. Recently, he was seen on social media promoting chains that look very close to the a chain that Fif himself has.

In the lawsuit obtained by The Wrap, it says, “Defendants, who are in the jewelry business, willfully and knowingly created imitations of an original necklace designed exclusively for Jackson; used Jackson’s name, image and other intellectual property rights to mislead consumers into believing Defendants’ reproductions are affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Jackson; and continue to use Jackson’s name, image and other intellectual property rights for commercial gain.”

The lawsuit also makes it clear that Fif has no association with TraxNYC — with part of his complaint being that these posts are misleading people to believe that he’s affiliated with these chains. “Jackson did not purchase his necklace from Defendants and Jackson has never authorized Defendants to capitalize on his goodwill and reputation in order to promote their goods and services,” the lawsuit reads.

Fif’s lawsuit isn’t the first time that he’s addressed TraxNYC. Prior to filing the lawsuit, after seeing one of the posts promoting the chains, Fif wrote, “This was a bad idea. You will regret doing this I promise.”

Fif’s also shared his own posts about the situation, writing in one of them, “This fool took my custom piece, copied it, then posted this 7 hours ago using my likeness to sell them. He must don’t know how this works, if he talks to a lawyer they would tell him this is not good.”

It’s clear that Fif’s out for blood — in the form of compensation. After TraxNYC posted a video practically begging the rapper to drop the suit, Fif kindly let him know, “Nah.”
