I test a lot of headphones. Earbuds too. Whenever I go to leave my apartment or office, I have my pick of the lot. So I’d like to think it means something when I tell you the Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 are my go-to pair of earbuds. Despite constantly testing out other (amazing) headphones, these are the reliable, pocket-sized buds I take with me everywhere I go. And they are finally on sale.
Normally, the Pi8 will run you $400, but right now on Amazon’s Big Spring Sale you can snag them for $80 off. It still doesn’t quite put them in the impulse buy territory, but a 20 percent discount is nothing to scoff at. Especially when I can attest to how long these earbuds will last you.
I’ve been listening to hours of music and podcasts and a nearly daily basis with my pair of Pi8s, and they still work just as well as the day I got them. I don’t just wear them because they are sturdy and the charging case fits in my pocket easily. It’s the sound. With over-ear quality noise-cancelling available at the tap of a bud, I can get through any commute, no matter how raucous.
If you don’t feel *amazing* about giving Amazon $300 more to ruin James Bond, the discounted prices are also available on the Bowers & Wilkins website.
If over-ear is more your style, you can get them at a similar markdown. On Amazon, B&W’s previous generation over-the-ear counterpart, the Px7 S2e are currently marked down to below $300. Plus, you can still find the Ruby Red limited edition colorway of the same headphones for $318.
