Moncler opened its first U.S. store in Aspen in 2008, so it makes sense that almost two decades later it would introduce its first Grenoble flagship across the street. Grenoble is Moncler’s high-performance, luxury skiwear line. To celebrate the store launch, Moncler invited press, influencers, ambassadors, and friends to Aspen for a long weekend.
Moncler was a different brand in 2008, but over the years CEO Remo Ruffini has ensured it’s known for more than its functional skiwear and outerwear. He’s kept the brand relevant with forward-thinking Genius collaborations with the likes of ASAP Rocky, Rick Owens, and Mercedes-Benz, and its connection to culture and spectacle. On Jan. 31, it continued in that tradition with a Grenoble Fall/Winter 2026 fashion show that took place in the Rocky Mountains.
From the looks to the set, sound, and more, here is Complex Style’s Report Card for Moncler Grenoble Fall/Winter 2026.
Influenced by the show’s location, the brand integrated Western, 1950s Americana themes into the high-performing skiwear. Models wore shirt jackets with fringe and floral embroidery, flannel shirts, and workwear coats. This also came through in the textiles, which included natural wools, waxed cottons, and corduroys.
Innovation is a constant for Moncler, and that came through with laser-cut Alpine leaf patterns on technical coats. The second half of the show merged Moncler’s European sensibilities with the West, with models wearing thick knit sweaters, matching skirts, quilted pieces with ditsy floral patterns. Other standouts included outerwear covered with a hand drawn map of Aspen. The collection was an excellent balance of novelty, fashion, utility, and technical innovation.
Models wore expectedly outdoorsy accessories like knapsacks, blanket bags, water bottles, knit beanies, field hats, and fur trapper hats. Footwear was more interesting with Western flourishes including snow boots with embroidery reminiscent of cowboy boots.
Music was high energy and spirited, including Western classics, Minnie Ripperton’s “Lovin’ You,” and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”
Staged in the Rocky Mountains, guests were whisked to the outdoor venue, one by one, on a snowmobile. At the start of the show, models appeared from the trees, then walked a winding runway amongst small mounds of snow, which would serve as a landing place until the end of the show. Lights cast the snow with shadows of Alpine leaves.
It was a stacked guest list with attendees including Shaun White, Daniel Arsham, Penn Badgley, Tessa Thompson, Adrien Brody, Kevin Costner, Odell Beckham Jr., Tobe & Fat Nwigwe, and Emily Ratajkowski.
