December 2025: The powers that be confirm her engagement! Cyrus and Morando walked the red carpet for the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Los Angeles (she did a song for the movie), with her diamond ring on full display. Though it looks like she’s been wearing this ring at least since her birthday in November, so we don’t actually know when the proposal happened, this is when “a source” decides to confirm to People that it is, in fact, an engagement ring, and the pair are set to marry.

November 2024: In a profile for Harper’s Bazaar, Cyrus addressed the six-year age difference between them, reflecting on how she and Morando grew up in different internet eras. “He looks at life really differently than I do. He grew up with a laptop. I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters,” she said, explaining, “Honestly, he’s raised our dog off Reddit. I’m like, Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this? And he’s like, On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah.”
