If there’s one thing we know about Meghan Markle after watching her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, it’s that she’s living her absolute best life in Montecito, California. Between making candles from the beeswax to cooking up her much-discussed “skillet spaghetti,” it looks like the Duchess of Sussex is embodying the “slow living” trend better than anyone, and honestly, we love that for her. As Glamour beauty editors, we, of course, couldn’t help but notice that she has the manicure to match too.
With scenes of beachy sea breezes, whitewashed kitchens, and Markle’s always-chic neutral outfits, it pretty much makes perfect sense that she sports a milky-nude manicure to complete the look. It’s very quiet luxury of her. Sure, with manis like milk-bath nails or soap nails trending, we can call it that, but to explain her perfectly pinkish-nude mani, we need a more specific name: the Sussex manicure, as coined by our Glamour editors. We even launched an investigation into what exact shade she was wearing on the show.
Finally, we have answers: In an Instagram story posted on March 25, Markle linked to her Shop My and shared the exact nail polish she wore on With Love, Meghan. It’s actually two shades of gel polish: CND Shellac in Satin Slippers and CND Shellac in Romantique. She even gave us directions: Apply one coat of each to get the exact-same look.
