Following his release from prison after 15 years behind bars, Max B used his welcome home dinner party on Monday (Nov. 10) as an opportunity to show how much he appreciates his partner.
In a sweet moment captured by blogger ItsBizKitt, the 47-year-old rapper could be seen sharing a kiss with the woman, whom he refers to as Ms. B, and handing her a box containing a ring, getting down on one knee as a public proposal. She then took off her old ring to replace it with the shiny new one. To cheers around the table, she showed off the ring.
Max referred to himself as “married” during his Drink Champs interview several months ago. That conforms with what the official Max B fan page wrote, which is that the couple reportedly married while he was still behind bars earlier this year.
“Married behind bars… but tonight, he finally put the diamond ring on her finger,” the fanpage wrote alongside a different angle of the proposal.
Ever since his long-awaited release last week, which was marked with a reunion with his family and longtime friend French Montana, Max B hit up the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns game on Sunday (Nov. 9).
“Fresh out the can,” he said in a brief chat with The People Gallery. “They gave me seven and five, but I’m back. … I’m feeling righteous. Feeling good. I’m grateful. I’m thankful. God is good.”
He also met up with French Montana for his 41st birthday celebrations on Sunday, where they were joined by Central Cee and French’s fiancée at AYA Nightclub in New York City.
Max B originally received a 75-year prison sentence, but it was later reduced to 20 years after he pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter.
