20-year-old male model Dynus Saxon, who has worked for Vogue Italia and Calvin Klein, has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in the Bronx.
As reported by New York Daily News, he is facing charges of murder in the second degree, manslaughter in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. Authorities have accused Saxon of fatally stabbing 35-year-old Kadeem Grant on Nov. 10, who was pronounced dead at an apartment in the Bronx.
According to NYPD sources, Saxon fatally stabbed Grant as he slept on a couch. Neither Grant or Saxon lived at the apartment where the stabbing took place. The tenant of the apartment said that Saxon “got up and got a knife and went after the guy.” Saxon was arrested on Nov. 11 and is currently hospitalized after sustaining a deep cut in the incident. He will undergo a psychological examination before he will be arraigned.
His mother claims that he does not remember the details of the incident. “Dynus didn’t just decide to murder somebody,” she told New York Daily News. “He does not know what happened.”
Grant’s father has also released a statement. “[Grant] was just a loving kid that was there for his family and daughter,” Grant’s father said. “It is just so sad that she has to grow up without a father. He cared for people—looking after his grandma because most of us are not there [in New York]. Kadeem was a kid. You need him? and he was there for you.”
The investigation into the fatal stabbing is ongoing.
