Sophie Perry, daughter of the late Riverdale and Beverly Hills 90210 star Luke Perry, shared a simple and tender message following Charmed star Shannen Doherty’s death at age 53.
Doherty and Perry starred alongside each other on the iconic teen soap and played fan-favorite couple Brenda and Dylan. Perry passed away in 2019 at the age of 52 following a stroke.
On Instagram, Sophie posted a black-and-white picture of Shannen and Luke in their BH 90210 days, with Perry playfully biting Doherty’s necklace. An image is worth a thousand words, so Sophie only needed to add an emoji: a white heart.

Doherty and Perry had remained friendly even after leaving Brenda and Dylan behind. Upon his death, Doherty told People, “I am in shock. Heartbroken. Devastated by the loss of my friend. I have so many memories with Luke that make me smile and that are forever imprinted on my heart and mind.
“There is a special kind of love one has for each other when you are experiencing the journey we did on 90210 and of course life in general. Luke and I were working on show ideas for us. We wanted to work with each other again and create something special and meaningful for our fans at this stage in our lives,” she added. “I will miss him every day. Every minute. Every second.”
Doherty would go on to appear in Riverdale’s Luke Perry tribute episode.
