Lil Uzi Vert believes they have “the best diamonds in Philly,” and they’re making sure Eagles quarterback and Alabama Crimson Tide alum Jalen Hurts knows it. In fact, the Super Bowl MVP was made the subject of several jewelry-focused Instagram Stories updates from Uzi on Monday night.

“My diamonds better, lil big bro,” Uzi said in their first Jalen-directed update, soundtracked by an instrumental version of Souls of Mischief’s “93 ’til Infinity.”

Uzi followed that up with a playful demand that Hurts wear a specific chain over and over, as well as a declaration of themselves as a “king” to the NFL star.

“I have the best diamonds in Philly,” Uzi said.

In their third and thus far final post, Uzi referenced the classic 1997 comedy Men in Black when sharing yet another Hurts photo.

“You not Will Smith, LIL BIG BRO,” Uzi said. “Good morning tho.”

In February, Mike DeStefano linked up with Gabriel the Jeweler for a conversation about Hurts’ viral Breed of One pendant, revealing the very real impact that particular piece had on the Jersey-based jeweler’s business.

“It feels good when you’ve put in 25 years of work,” Gabriel told Complex at the time, adding that his attention to the finer details of service is a key part of what sets him apart among other jewelers.

For now, Hurts hasn’t responded to any of Uzi’s playful jewelry comparison tactics, at least not publicly. Uzi, meanwhile, is coming up on six months since the launch of their Eternal Atake sequel. The album, lwhich opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, spurred a revisiting of the Heaven’s Gate influence on the original Eternal Atake. Naturally, this revisiting resulted in what is arguably one of the year’s best pieces.
