For “INFINITY,” the newest collection from Lewis Hamilton’s +44, the F1 star has once again tapped into the artistic prowess of Hajime Sorayama.
The latest from Hamilton’s brand comes two years after he first partnered with Sorayama on an inaugural capsule collection, with their proven collaborative strengths this time being put to use for a limited run of pieces said in press notes to bear inspiration from “the Far East and the promise of 2025.” Prominently featured in the collection are several key artworks from Sorayama, including one of the artist’s familiar robot characters.
In a statement, Hamilton, recently featured in Complex’s 2025 F1 power ranking, said he was “very honored” to be reuniting with Sorayama.
“He and I share a love of fashion and car culture too, which inspired this collection,” Hamilton said. “I think you can really see that in the chrome graphics and in the car accessories we created.”
This year, Hamilton added, is a particularly important one for him and the +44 team. As a first for the brand, the new collection will see its launch taking place in Shanghai.
For Sorayama, he’s hoping fans will “pay close attention” to a certain detail in the work he contributed to this collection, namely his style of portraying humans and animals in soft metals.
The latest from Hamilton and Sorayama will launch via a pop-up at Juice in Shanghai that’s set to welcome fans from March 19 through March 23. Featured in the collection are hoodies, tees, tracksuits, bomber jackets, circus towels, skateboard decks, and more. The pieces will also be available here and on Complex Shop starting on March 19.
