Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted in the Royal Box at Wimbledon today, taking in what could only be described as a Titanic tennis battle between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner in the men’s semifinal. But it wasn’t just the drama on Centre Court watch fans will have noticed—it was what was on DiCaprio’s wrist.
The actor wore the new Rolex Land-Dweller ref. 127334. That’s the 40mm Oystersteel and white-gold version with a white honeycomb dial, integrated flat jubilee bracelet, and the new caliber 7135 movement featuring the Dynapulse escapement.
It’s a bold, technically advanced model that made headlines on its launch in April for being the most mechanically sophisticated Rolex ever put into serial production. With its slim, integrated case design and high-frequency new escapement, the Land-Dweller has been heralded as a major leap forward—not just for Rolex but for modern watchmaking itself.
And yet it doesn’t scream for attention. Like DiCaprio himself, it’s a cool customer.
DiCaprio paired the watch with a mid-gray suit, a white crewneck T-shirt, and a pair of black rounded sunglasses—a minimal, relaxed take on courtside dressing that hit the perfect note between polish and ease. He looked relaxed, engaged, and exactly like the kind of man who’d choose a cutting-edge Rolex not to show off but because he appreciates what’s under the hood. (Also: He became a brand ambassador, officially a “Testimonee,” in February.)
It’s a fitting watch for a serious collector—or, in DiCaprio’s case, someone who’s spent his career making smart choices. In a sea of Royal Oaks and Daytonas, the Land-Dweller is the right watch at the right time.
