To no one’s surprise, LeBron James had special sneakers planned for the gold medal game at the Paris Olympics. Those shoes ended up being two colorways of his latest Nike LeBron 22, pictured here.

During the gold medal matchup between the United States and the host country France, James broke out a blue iridescent LeBron 22 in the pre-game shoot-around before switching to an all-gold colorway of his upcoming signature model. Both versions incorporate the iconic Safari print on the outsole, which was also featured in the brand’s multi-shoe “Electric” pack designed for this year’s Olympic Games.

The US would go on and beat France with the final score being 98-87. James ended the night with 14 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds and was named the tournament’s MVP.

At the time of writing, these two Nike LeBron 22 colorways aren’t expected to be released to the public. Check back soon for new developments.
