A royal source explained to the Daily Beast, “Lots of people involved in planning need to know what all the principals are doing a long way in advance. I am told that Kate’s diary for this year is empty.” In this context, “diary” is British for “planner.” The source continued, “There is nothing planned. She may not appear in public for the rest of the year.”

According to the Daily Beast’s sources, the princess is “surrounded by her birth family” as she completes her round of preventative chemotherapy. Kate announced her cancer diagnosis and the planned chemo treatment in a video statement released on March 21. “I’m getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body, and spirits,” she said in the video. “Having William by my side has been a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support, and kindness that is being shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.”
