Jerry Lorenzo has more basketball sneakers coming from his Fear of God Adidas Athletics sub-label.
In the latest episode of Complex’s Idea Generation, hosted by Noah Callahan-Bever, Lorenzo chronicles his life from pursuing a career in sports management to starting his popular clothing label and brand, Fear of God. The conversation eventually leads to Lorenzo discussing Fear of God Athletics and what he has in the pipeline for his Adidas sub-label, including teasing upcoming basketball performance sneakers.
Around the 37:30 mark, Lorenzo shows off two unreleased FOG Athletics performance basketball models. According to Lorenzo, the sneakers are a follow-up to the Basketball One silhouette and are refined to be worn on the court. One version wears a predominantly black upper with a TPU cage on the sides, while the lighter pair features a more seamless design.
“Finally we’re at this place with this Two where I feel like we got a basketball sneaker,” Lorenzo said. “You can for real hoop in it and it’s going to do what it’s intended to do. And that will be the judge of where Athletics goes and what is next for Athletics. We finally delivered on this promise of what this is going to be.”
