Lawrence’s bag is small enough for the evening, but roomy enough to carry everything a busy actor on-the-go might need. It looks like it has a cream-colored lining, short handles, and a decorative tassel on the bottom. But we’re particularly interested in the purse’s small, pouch-like shape, which is almost reminiscent of a flapper purse.
Jennifer Lawrence isn’t the only celeb to have endorsed the bucket bag trend recently. Per People, Demi Moore has been seen rocking a sleek, medium-sized black bucket bag while out in New York City. In October, Sarah Jessica Parker accessorized her ladylike jumpsuit with a black bucket bag on a night out.
While some of the bucket bags we’ve been seeing lately are on the larger side, making them particularly appropriate for work, Lawrence’s dainty, going out pouch is more ideal for date night, and it is also experiencing a moment. Recently, we’ve seen versions with more structured shapes, like Lawrence’s bag or this one from Prada, as well as looser netted versions, or Bridgerton-coded pleated pouches, all across a variety of price points. But there’s a chance you may have a version of the going out pouch already sitting in your own closet, as the style was also trending a few years ago in 2018.
