Lawrence is our North star when it comes to fashion trends, long ago cementing her status as a style icon. Just think of her naked dress at the 2026 Golden Globes, which secured her a place at the top of the best-dressed lists. Of course it’s not just evening wear. JLaw has mastered another discipline perfectly: effortless cool-girl style. That’s why we weren’t really surprised that she showed up in denim at the Dior Haute Couture show in Paris on January 27.
Haute Couture week stands for exceptional craftsmanship, visionary creativity, and looks that make fashion history. It’s no longer just the designs on the catwalk that play a role—the guests on the front row also make headlines with their extravagant looks.
And Jennifer Lawrence understood the assignment, pairing a tight-fitting white T-shirt with classic blue jeans in a light wash and an extra-long coat to ward off the Parisian winter chill. A fluffy faux fur stole and the Dior Cigale bag, aka the fashion house’s new It-bag, complete the look.

What is a very simple outfit on paper becomes a fashion statement thanks to one small detail: the hem of her pants. Her puddle jeans, as they’re called, are characterized by extra-long pant legs that drape over the foot and create a puddle of fabric at the floor. This effect visually elongates and lends a casual elegance.
The right footwear is crucial. Heels emphasize proportions (and save your hem from the worst of whatever’s on the ground), and tapered boots or heels that subtly peek out from under the jeans look particularly elegant.

Meanwhile, on the runway, Jonathan Anderson presented his first haute couture collection for the house. It builds on his previous work: classic Dior heritage meets a contemporary design language. Anderson drew on natural motifs in floral appliqués and fabrics with feather and scale-like textures. The sculptural silhouettes of the dresses reference the work of ceramic artist Magdalene Odundo, with whom Anderson has worked in the past.
