Jennifer Lawrence’s fashion flats are already being referred to online as cool-mom staples—which was, of course, always going to happen. Famous people announce they’re expecting a child, and all of a sudden their fashion choices are almost exclusively discussed in relation to their pregnancies. Rather than, I don’t know, being seen as a reflection of their tastes and interests as they’d be for any other person with a mind of their own.

Texas—a documentary about the impact of regressive anti-abortion laws in Texas that she executive-produced alongside Hillary Clinton—could have appeared at any point in time.
