Over the weekend, Netflix fans braved the blistering Los Angeles heat and made their way to the Kia Forum to celebrate the streamer’s upcoming slate, including Jenna Ortega, star of the hit series Wednesday, which will soon premiere its second season. Naturally, she turned the event into a one-woman fashion show, easily proving why she’s a style star on the rise (as if her borrowing Carrie Bradshaw’s newspaper dress weren’t evidence enough).
Outside, Ortega perfectly matched the gray carpet in a leather trench by Mark Gong, styled with an Old Hollywood head scarf and sunglasses, seemingly her one concession to the weather (Jenna, how were you not roasting in all that leather?).

She even wore sheer stockings and gray heels, clearly a nod to her character’s love of all things dark, spooky and macabre.
The final, perfect detail was her beauty look, with dark lip liner making a nude shade pop and complementing the gradient of her coat. A double-ombre, if you will.
