A jazz band on the dance floor? As anyone who has pulled up to a GQ Paris Fashion Week party before would say: C’est impossible! But this season, men’s fashion’s (unofficial) biggest night out moved from the hot and sweaty confines of L’Avenue to its chic Saint-Germain sister restaurant, La Société. Hosted by GQ global editorial director Will Welch and Levi’s, the Thursday night PFW tradition kicked off with a sonic journey courtesy of Parisian jazz trio Every Human Is a Mess, who laid down the theme music as the likes of Troye Sivan, Tyshawn Jones, Dev Hynes, Lucky Blue Smith, and Skepta started grooving in their finest front row garb. Next up was DJ Acyde, who in short order had Dave Chapelle dancing on a banquette. The only question is: what will we do next season?
