Depending on where you are in the country, you might still be grinding through early spring. I sure am. My family in Georgia is already getting 80-degree days, already breaking out the swim trunks, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Here in New York, I’m still in layers. My winter coat had to come out once this week, but generally it’s my trucker, sweaters, and jackets. It’s transitional clothing season, and one brand, above all the others, gets it right: Filson.
No brand does flannels, waxed jackets, and sweaters like the original Pacific Northwest outfitter. If you’re in the same boat as me, I’m strongly suggesting you take a scroll through the Filson outlet section. A ton of transitional pieces are on sale, as well as classics like the company’s timeless canvas briefcase.
And if you’re one of our more intelligent readers that finds yourself far enough south to enjoy good weather this time of year, there’s still gear for you. Tees are on sale. These tin cloth overalls are perfect for the garden. And (between you and me) Filson’s swim trunks are just as good as Patagonia’s famous Baggies if you don’t want a five-inch inseam. There’s a good bit to dig through, but I went ahead and did it for you. These are the best deals to grab right now.
