Foot Locker’s 34th Street location has been a mainstay sneaker store in New York City for years, and now the global retailer has announced the reopening of the flagship store.
The store is located at 112 W 34th Street and will officially be opened tomorrow, Aug. 22. According to the retail chain, this location introduces its “Home Court” concept that was developed in partnership with Nike and Jordan Brand to provide consumers with “exceptional customer service with the latest on-court and off-court products.” This experience includes basketball-inspired designs in the store’s interior, immersive experiences, and top-of-the-line technology to help consumers find their ideal products. Aside from Nike and Jordan Brand products, the store will also be stocked with items from Adidas, Puma, New Balance, Under Armour, and more.
“Our newly redesigned store epitomizes Foot Locker’s ongoing evolution and stands as a testament to our leadership in sneaker and basketball culture. With the introduction of our new Foot Locker ‘Home Court’ in partnership with Nike and Jordan Brand, this location sets a new benchmark,” Frank Bracken, the EVP and chief commercial officer of Foot Locker, Inc., said. “We take immense pride in bringing this innovative experience to the heart of New York City, a space designed to serve families, inspire sneaker enthusiasts, and honor the spirit of basketball culture.”
This grand reopening of Foot Locker’s 34th Street store in NYC is part of the retailer’s “Lace Up” plan announced in March 2023. This strategy includes the opening of new store formats, which includes the aforementioned “Home Court” store.
