Fakemink and Nettspend were among the familiar faces enlisted for Demna’s inaugural fashion show for Gucci this week.
On Friday (February 27), the pair walked the runway for the Milan show, which stands as the designer’s first proper outing since being named Gucci’s new artistic director last year.
Mink and Nett’s looks for the show were paired with crossbody bags, as seen below. Friday’s show concluded with a surprise runway appearance by Kate Moss. Rising star Feng, meanwhile, was among those also in attendance to witness the launch of Demna’s new chapter, as was Kai Cenat.
“Tomorrow is the birthday of my vision for Gucci,” Demna, who previously led Balenciaga, said in an open letter shared before the Milan show. “A house that has lived many lives. A brand that has defined and redefined what luxury means and what fashion dares to become.”
Elsewhere in the letter, the designer reflected on the immersive experience he embarked on last year of “understanding the gucciness of Gucci,” a journey made possible by digging into the archives and visiting the brand’s factories.
“I will spare you a technical manifesto about the construction and technicality of this collection, but I will mention that in general I intend for Gucci to become lighter, softer, more refined, more elaborate, more emotional. even senseless sometimes,” he added. “I don’t want it to be intellectual, but I want Gucci to be a feeling.”
For Mink and Nett both, the Gucci alignment comes at an ideal moment. Complex recently highlighted Mink among a class of rappers fans should keep an eye on throughout 2026, while Nett is set to release a new album next month.
