Euphoria Season 3 Details: Premiere Dates, Time Jumps, Cast Updates, and More

You’d better stock up on more glitter eye shadow, because Euphoria season 3 is starting to feel more real than ever. And thank God, because the season 2 finale left a lot of questions unanswered, while a series of controversies, the SAG-AFTRA strike, and writing delays created more than a four-year gap between seasons two and three.

Without further ado, here’s everything we know about Euphoria season 3.

When does Euphoria season 3 air?

On November 2, 2023, HBO announced the third season has been slated for 2025. However, filming was subsequently delayed to the point where HBO had to assure fans it was still moving forward on multiple occasions. “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO spokesperson told Variety in March 2024. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”

According to Deadline, Levinson was “still working on scripts” in early 2024. That November, Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, confirmed that filming for season 3 would begin in mid to late January 2025. “Nothing’s changed…We are shooting the season. I have read the scripts,” he told journalists. “We’re happy. We’re moving ahead. All of the actors.”

Filming officially began in February 2025 and it took ten more months to announce that Euphoria season 3 will begin airing in April 2026.

There will be a time-jump in season 3.

In keeping with the hefty gap between seasons, Euphoria will pick up five years after it left off. “Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college they’d be out of college at that time,” Sam Levinson revealed during an HBO Max presentation on December 3, 2025, per Variety.

Zendaya first hinted at the possibility in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in August 2022, admitting she wants to “explore the characters out of high school.”

“I think it’ll be exciting to explore the characters out of high school. I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look,” Zendaya said. “But also with all the characters, in the sense where they’re trying to figure out what to do with their lives when high school is over and what kind of people they want to be. What was special about [season 2] was that we got to dive into [the other characters] in a much deeper sense. I think we can do that again with the third season. There’s so much talent, you want to make sure everybody has the chance to have that.”
