Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are basically living out a Hollywood rom-com—and that’s according to Turner himself.
In October, the British actor revealed he met the world-famous pop star over drinks ahead of a friends birthday. When they got to chatting they realized they were on the same chapter of the same book: Trust by Hernán Díaz. “We’re on the same page,’” Lipa allegedly told him, per Turner’s interview with the The Sunday Times.
“In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like, I hear you,” Turner told the publication. “I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry.”

October 19, 2025: During an interview with The Sunday Times, Turner says he met Lipa over drinks before a friend’s birthday party in LA. “We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book, which is crazy,” he says .“It’s called Trust [by Hernán Díaz] and I had just finished the first chapter and I told her and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too.’ I said, ‘So we’re on the same page.’”
He continues, “In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like, I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry. And that was really the first [moment].”
June 30, 2025: the pair are spotted making out on a yacht, as all newly engaged couples should.
June 12, 2025: Lipa confirms her engagement during a recent interview with British Vogue. “Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting,” Lipa says, adding that she’s “obsessed” with the ring he had made for her after consulting her best friends and her sister.
“It’s so me,” Lipa said. “It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
As far as the wedding is concerned, the couple is not in a rush to walk down the aisle. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period,” Lipa said. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding or dreamed about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like, Oh, what would I wear?”
