I don’t know if it’s just me or all millennials, but Charlie’s Angels starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu made an emphatic impact on me as a child.

The film hit theaters in 2000, just as I was entering puberty in the most awkward of ways. I was starting a new school far from all my friends and was feeling all the Feelings and Rage that comes with that and being a weird preteen. Still, something about the movie made my adolescent self feel seen. And laugh, of course.

To me, Barrymore, Diaz, and Liu were the coolest, badass, and most beautiful women in the world, and the reveal that they weren’t cool in their youth made me feel much better about my state at the time. They were exactly who I wanted to be when I grew up. Obviously, I didn’t end up an international…spy? Detective? Wait, what were they? Well, even though my job is to write these stories for you, I still thank Charlie’s Angels for its service to young me.

So I might be I’m a little biased in how excited I am that Drew Barrymore decided to bring back not just the iconic shade of blonde—as well as the style and length—she rocked at the premiere of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, but her edgy grunge makeup and graphic tee (which are back, BTW) too. Who could forget the iconic “My boyfriend is out of town” tee?

Barrymore looks so good—and convincing—that even Charlie’s Angels critics might feel swayed by the nostalgia of it all and dig back up the DVD. Or stream it, or whatever.
