When Donald Trump—then a businessman and reality television star—won in 2016, many were shocked, as the majority of polls had predicted his opponent, career politician Hillary Clinton, with a high degree of certainty. In the days leading up to the 2024 election, however, prediction models had Trump and Harris in a toss-up.
Though most A-listers who endorsed a candidate chose Harris, Trump had the backing of former rival Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as well as a smattering of celebrities including Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
