Not even A-list celebrities are immune to the cycle of finding a brand they really love and wearing the hell out of it for weeks on end. It’s happened to you, it’s happened to me, and right now, I’m fairly certain it’s happening to Timothée Chalamet. I mean, the guy has stepped out in True Religion fits, like, five times in the past few weeks, in cities all over the world, from red carpets to Knicks games. He’s here, he’s there, he’s everywhere, and he’s in True Religion all the way.

This, my friends, is a sign of the times. We’re being haunted by the ghosts of Y2K past; first it was Kendrick Lamar in his flare jeans at the Super Bowl last weekend, and now, it’s back to True Religion denim, with that iconic horseshoe embroidery on the back pockets. I reported on Chalamet wearing an archival True Religion double-denim set a few weeks ago, evoking the Westernwear trend that’s inevitably arrived, but even when the actor isn’t rocking head-to-toe TR, he’s still playing around with it.

Really, what’s more Y2K than this combo: a skinny scarf, a crossbody bag, and True Religion jeans? Nothing, in my books. I’m a ’00s baby, and that just brings me right back. I don’t know what’s gotten into Chalamet lately, if he’s feeling nostalgic and undergoing throwback renaissance inspired by his performance as Bob Dylan, but I’m really not complaining. A True Religion fit has been long overdue from the mainstream for some time.

And, listen—we can all agree that Chalamet’s fits have been kinda unpredictable lately. But you know what isn’t unpredictable? The fact that he’ll stay true to one thing: True Religion.

It seems like True Religion might be the ultimate purveyor of Those Jeans; you know, the ones that fit you so well and look so damn good that you just stock up on that style and wear ’em forever. Chalamet’s vintage fits might not be for sale, but his other favorite True Religion styles are. Shop his favorites and our favorites below.
