Designer Christian Tresser Announces Return to Nike

Renowned footwear designer Christian Tresser announced on social media this week that he’s back working at Nike.

According to Brendan Dunne on X, Tresser is joining Swoosh’s subsidiary Jordan Brand as a senior expert designer for speed-to-market footwear. The photos shared in Tresser’s announcement post show him posing in front of the Michael Jordan Building at Nike’s World Headquarters in Oregon.

According to his LinkedIn, Tresser’s journey in footwear design started in November 1992 with Reebok. There, he developed popular runners like the Aztrek and the DMX Daytona.

Tresser’s LinkedIn profile says he first worked at Nike as a senior footwear designer from November 1996 to August 1997. During that stint, he worked on popular models like the Air Max 97, the Spiridon, and more.

Most recently, Tresser designed for the Adidas Yeezy line from 2020 to 2023, where he helped create the Yeezy 700 MNVN.
