Demi Lovato has fulfilled her dream of marrying Canadian singer-songwriter Jordan Lutes in California in a romantic ceremony that took place on the evening of May 25. The two have been a couple since 2022, and their official engagement took place the following year with a marriage proposal and a pear-cut diamond engagement ring.
Very little is known about the ceremony at the moment but fashion addicts know the juiciest detail is clearly the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress chosen by the former Disney star, which she shared in a first-look with Vogue.
“When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs—specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets,” she said of the fashion house, which has conquered and conquers the hearts of many brides-to-be, including Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw.
Demi Lovato walked down the aisle in a custom-made dress, pearl white in heavy silk satin with an off-the-shoulder corset bodice and a pleated and draped A-line skirt in the style of ancient Greek statues. The bride completed the look with a long cathedral veil.
The final look was inspired by another dress Lovato found online: “We were not only able to work off that [initial] inspiration, but we added touches that really make this dress so special to me,” she says,” she says of one-of-a-kind look, which can be seen here.
