Dave Chappelle is getting roasted on social media after he sported a sleeveless suit jacket in a Saturday Night Live promo.
The 51-year-old comedian is set to host SNL for the fourth time this weekend on Saturday, Jan. 18. Ahead of the episode, he appeared in a series of promos for the episode alongside cast member Marcello Hernández and musical guest GloRilla. While these promos the show does every time there’s a new episode on the way typically get fans talking about the interactions between the host and musical guest, this time everyone was left a little distracted by Chappelle’s outfit.
In a white shirt with a popped collar, Chappelle sported a sleeveless suit jacket that drew comparisons to the WWE wrestler Virgil, bodybuilder Tony Atlas, and a Las Vegas male stripper. It’s not clear what, exactly, he is wearing, but it’s certainly inspired a lot of jokes. The outfit appears to be designed to show off his biceps, but instead, it sort of makes him look like if Han Solo had a formal gathering and didn’t want to wait for the tailor to finish their job.
