As the Dallas Cowboys start to get ready for their first game this fall — against the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles — the team’s iconic cheerleading squad has taken to social media to show off some stunning summer looks.
In a Tuesday, June 10 Instagram post, third-year cheerleader Kylie Dickson shared a 10-image carousel featuring her and her teammates modeling dresses and other summer outfits by the brand LoveShackFancy. The photo shoot’s Americana vibe — think checkered prints, frilly skirts, and cowboy hats — was a seamless match for the team nicknamed “America’s Sweethearts.”
In the post’s caption, Dickson dubbed the sponsorship “the sweetest collab of the summer.” On her official DCC bio, the professional dancer names summer as her favorite season of the year. “I love to spend time outside in the sun!” she says.
The fun photos include a red and white sundress and two-piece outfits that resemble cheerleading uniforms — including a pleated skirt and white belt. The models — including McKenna Gehrke, Reece Weaver and Madeline Salter — hold pompoms in the fashion-forward pics and even do a full split in one of the photos.
To complete the outfits, the cheerleaders wear their signature white cowboy boots.
Weaver is one of the biggest breakout stars of the 2024 Netflix mega-hit series America’s Sweethearts about the squad and will be featured in its second season, out June 18. In Season 1, the University of Alabama grad showed off her fiancé, Will — the upcoming season will focus on her life as a newlywed.
According to Tudum, the companion blog to Netflix, Weaver “tied the knot with her college sweetheart — and first-ever boyfriend — Will in April 2024, and the wedding reception, of course, included a performance of [DCC’s signature dance routine] ‘Thunderstruck’ alongside her fellow DCCs. Reece no longer works at the flower shop and is instead trying to build a career on her social media following.”
