September 19, 2023: Evans reveals he and Baptista lived together after just a few months of dating. Though GQ published the cover story on September 19, the interview was actually conducted months before the couple’s Cape Cod wedding, which is why he referred to Baptista as his girlfriend.
Speaking of his packed film schedule in 2022, he says, “My girlfriend that I’ve had for a while, when we began dating, I was like: ‘Yeah, I do one movie a year. I try to never work now.’ And then, after like a few months of dating, boom, guess what? We’re living in Atlanta for a year. Get ready. And even when that year was happening, I was like, ‘Man, never again.’”
As for 2023: “I haven’t worked all year and I don’t plan to, which has been lovely.”
September 9, 2023: Alba and Evans tie the knot in Cape Cod. According to a Page Six report, attendees were asked to sign NDAs, and phones were “forfeited” prior to the ceremony. The guest list allegedly featured several of Evans’s costars from the Marvel universe, including Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey, Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, and Jeremy Renner.
February 14, 2023: Evans celebrates Valentine’s Day by posting a bunch of romantic photos of Baptista on his Instagram Story.
January 6, 2023: Evans and Baptista go Instagram-official with a hilarious series of prank videos taken over the course of their relationship in 2022.
November 10, 2022: People reports that Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have been dating for “over a year.” That same day they’re seen holding hands during a walk in Central Park.
“It’s serious,” a source says. “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”
