We’re already witnessing history tonight. The actor Jeremy Strong has arrived at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, where he deviated from his personal credo to constantly don the color brown in favor of a bracingly turquoise velvet suit by Loro Piana. Naturally, the suit also had its own matching blue bucket hat.
Strong, who is nominated tonight for his portrayal of lawyer Roy Cohn in the Donald Trump biopic The Apprentice, underscored his Golden Globes look with a hearty white turtleneck, shiny black loafers, a Richard Mille watch, and retro aviator shades from his favorite eyewear brand, Jacques Marie Mage, in a corresponding shade of robin’s egg blue.
In recent years, Jeremy Strong has become one of Hollywood’s most reliably idiosyncratic dressers, with a particular taste for craft-forward luxury labels. Previously, the Italian brand Loro Piana was on heavy rotation in the wardrobe of Strong’s Succession character, Kendall Roy.
“For Kendall, Loro Piana represented a supreme, rarefied level of luxury and comfort and the sort of if-you-know-you-know thing, and that’s part of the story we were telling with the character,” the actor told GQ in 2023. “For me, I just love that quality of obsessiveness and relentlessness and the unending search for an elusive perfection. Which for me is elusive. But for them is actually quite achieved.”
Plus, he added, “I love being able to follow your intuition with clothing and sort of break rules.”
