The Council of Fashion Designers of America has announced the nominees and honorees for the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards.

This year’s event is presented in partnership with Amazon Fashion and will take place on October 28 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

The 2024 nominees for American Menswear Designer of the Year are Mike Amiri for Amiri, Emily Adams Bode Aujla for Bode, Thom Browne, Todd Snyder, and Willy Chavarria. The American Womenswear Designer of the Year nods are Rachel Scott for Diotima, Marc Jacobs, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, Thom Browne, and Tory Burch.

Lopez and Burch also received a nod for American Accessory Designer of the Year, alongside Ana Khouri, Stuart Vevers for Coach, and Catherine Holstein for Khaite.

Nominees for the Shop With Google Emerging Designer of the Year award are Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell for Tanner Fletcher, Jackson Wiederhoeft for Wiederhoeft, Connor McKnight, Presley Oldham, and Henry Zankov for Zankov.

The CFDA has also renamed the Board of Directors Award to the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute, which aims to honor the Cuban-American designer who died in 2019. Toledo will posthumously receive the award, which is given to prominent figures who reflect the board’s values. Past recipients include former First Lady Michelle Obama, Tom Ford, and the late Virgil Abloh.

As for the 2024 honorees, Daniel Roseberry will be recognized as the International Designer of the Year for his work with Schiaparelli. Michael Kors will receive the Positive Change Award; Stephen Burrows will get the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award; Annie Leibovitz will take home the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard; and Hamish Bowles will receive the Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert.

“This year’s nominees and honorees represent the gamut of American fashion creativity and excellence,” Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA said. “As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion, significantly contribute to the CFDA Scholarship Fund to support tomorrow’s generation of designers and future nominees and honorees of this special night and we are grateful to Amazon Fashion for their leadership.”
