It is not necessary to flash your underwear as explicitly as some celebs have been doing this season, but showing your briefs (or boxers, or thongs) in a more subtle way is a very good idea. Just ask Blake Lively.
Hot on the heels of the no-pants trend comes a more discreet styling trick that’s focused on layering. The Californian opted for a Versace bra and underwear set, with both pieces featuring satin pink fabric. Over the top, she added jeans and a top featuring a net of rhinestones that created geometric flowers; the flowers were pink, to match the underwear set.
As for the jeans, Lively’s choice is nothing more than a premonition of what we will see more of in the coming months: a wide-leg silhouette with original details. From the rhinestones on her pair to the stripes that Emily Ratajkowski opted for a few weeks ago, or the legendary Loewe jeans with the logo on the knees, next fall’s jeans will have the feel of a one-of-a-kind creation. And they’ll be styled with your fave undies peeking through.

Lively finished the look with a shoe style that was reviled as much in the past few years as it was loved during the first decade of the 2000’s: the peep-toe pump.
The peep-toes are back in their purest essence to conquer the fashion realm. Blake Lively is not the only one who has succumbed to the charm of this nostalgic trend: Jennifer Lopez opted for this shoe to attend the Ralph Lauren fashion show; and Margot Robbie went for a version in rhinestones to attend the AACTA Awards. The Gossip Girl actress chose a pair of pastel pink peep toes that were hidden by the length of her jeans.
