Ben Affleck saw Matt Damon holding Jennifer Lopez’s hand and raised him a gentle kiss on Luciana Damon’s head.
Okay, it was probably a lot less calculated than that. On September 13, Affleck was spotted sharing a tender moment with his longtime friend, Luciana, who has been married to Affleck’s bestie since 2005. The pair were photographed embracing in Los Angeles, with Affleck dressed in a navy suit and Luciana wearing all black. You can see the photos here.
This sweet gesture came after Damon shared an unexpected moment with Affleck’s recent ex, Jennifer Lopez, at the Toronto International Film Festival. On September 6, Damon and Jen were spotted having a “long, deep conversation” at the after-party for Unstoppable, the 55-year-old singer’s new movie produced by Affleck and Damon’s production company, Artists Equity.
While Affleck did not attend the TIFF premiere, Damon and Lopez posed together on the red carpet and were later photographed conversing with their hands clasped together. According to People’s report, Lopez was hanging out with Luciana and costar Don Cheadle when Damon approached the table and began speaking with J.Lo for “several minutes.”
Despite some messy rumors about Affleck’s alleged “erratic mood swings,” Lopez has not spoken ill of her ex-husband since filing for divorce on August 20. Her first order of business: reclaiming her legal last name and seemingly having her “commitment” tattoo removed.
“[Lopez is] very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage,” a source told People after the divorce went public. “He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself.”
