We all know that Ben Affleck has an epic Nike SB Dunk collection. He’s got the Ben & Jerry’s ‘Chunky Dunky.’ He’s got the ‘Eire.’ He’s even got the Parra collab that was made specifically for the Dutch artist’s inner circle. But every single one of these pale in comparison to the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘What the Dunk,’ which is regarded by many sneakerheads to be one of the holiest grails out there.

You don’t really hear much about the ‘What the Dunk’ these days. That’s because it’s one of the rarest pairs of all-time. First released back in 2007 (during Nike’s legendary ‘Gold Box’ era), this shoe features a wild design that’s made up of a bunch mismatched graphics, patterns, and textures. Each one of these panels have actually been swiped straight from 31 other SB Dunk colorways, and they’ve all been mashed-up together for one beautiful Frankenstein sneaker.

Die-hards will spot the neon green lining from ’03’s ‘eBay Dunk,’ trippy panelling from ’04’s ‘Tie-Dye,’ and an embroidered pigeon from ’05’s Staple collab. All of this then rests on top of a super comfortable Zoom Air midsole, because they are made for skateboarding.

Even for Hollywood’s biggest sneakerhead, the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘What the Dunk’ is pretty massive flex (a US size 13 will set you back over $280,000 on StockX right now). And considering Ben Affleck has been wearing a lot of Allbirds and Off-White trainers lately, we’re glad to see that he’s still tight with the Swoosh.
