No, that’s not an Olsen tuck. Bella Hadid just debuted a major chop at Paris Fashion Week—and convinced us that the pageboy bob is going to be spring’s trendiest haircut.
Clearly, the 29-year-old model has had an itch for a hair transformation recently. Last week, she debuted new wispy bangs with her sandy, low-maintenance blonde color. Since then, her long layers have been trimmed up to her chin. And while she’s definitely giving Parisian chic energy, this look has a little more edge than the romantic French bob.

A cut with ’60s roots, “the traditional pageboy bob featured a rounded, ear-to-shoulder length with inward-curled blunt ends and a heavy fringe,” Elliot Bute, a stylist at London-based salon Hershesons previously told Glamour. While OG pageboy bobs (think: Princess Diana) had a distinctly rounded shape, modern renditions like Hadid’s “add varied lengths and textured finishes, transforming the once-rigid style into something more versatile,” Bute says.
Unlike a blunt bob, which favors sharp lines, the softer pageboy bob invites tousled texture. That’s what makes it an effortlessly short haircut for spring and summer: It’s short enough to keep things cool, but not so precise that you’ll need to tote around your flat iron. While this look can be styled sleek, it looks just as intentional with a hit of texture spray and some natural bends.
