Complex Shop Drop Highlight of the Week
Release Date: May 12
Where to Buy It: awakenyclothing.com
Price: TBD
I’ve been on the hunt for new graphic tees, and this one from the Awake NY x Barriers collab hits every mark: it has a bold design and standout color, and what’s even better is that a portion of the proceeds supports youth and education initiatives. Style with purpose? That’s a win-win. –Jamal Desroches, Style Social Creator
Release Date: May 7
Where to Buy It: awge.com
Price: $125
I can’t afford ASAP Rocky’s $2,300 AWGE parka that was released after the Met Gala, but I liked these more anyway. Who doesn’t love a cozy pair of sweatpants? They aren’t cuffed at the bottom so they fall over the sneakers perfectly, and they’re also covered in a fun pattern so I can just toss on a black or white tee to achieve peak coziness. I’m sold. The dalmatian spots are a nice nod to this incredible image from Rocky’s recent Vogue shoot. –Mike DeStefano, Senior Style Editor
Release Date: May 9
Where to Buy It: badfriendltd.com
Price: $133
Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Badfriend just dropped its latest collection. This plaid jacket is my favorite piece from the offering. It’s ideal for the transitional weather right now or breezy nights in the spring and summertime. It’s also just a bit more visually interesting than the usual black nylon jacket I’d toss on in those situations. There’s matching pants if you’re into sets. –Mike DeStefano, Senior Style Editor

Where to Buy It: aimeleondore.com
Price: $11,100
Have you ever been obsessed with an item you have absolutely no business buying? That is exactly how I feel about the Café Leon Dore x La Marzocco Linea Micra coffee machine. If I am being honest, I have never had coffee in my life, but I can still appreciate a beautiful kitchen appliance. I may have to settle for the dainty espresso cup, but in a perfect world with no budget constraints, this machine would sit beautifully on my kitchen countertop, ready to impress all my coffee-drinking guests. The hunter green color, paired with wood and gold accents, gives it a timeless and stunning appeal. I am sure it functions flawlessly, but what truly fascinates me is how a coffee maker can double as a work of art. –Breeana Walker, Social Media Strategist

Where to Buy It: sweatscollective.com

Sweats Collective is expanding, and now the brand is dropping workwear. Although they have not announced an official release date, Sweats Collective has teased a batch of work pants that look like the perfect everyday piece. The olive green pair is my personal favorite, and it is already looking like it might become a staple in my Spring/Summer wardrobe. –Breeana Walker, Social Media Strategist
Release Date: May 5
Where to Buy It: starface.world (currently sold out)
Price: $19
I’d like to say that I knew about Starface before its viral fame. I didn’t think the acne care brand could ever top its Hello Kitty and Keroppi collabs, but I was wrong. For its first-ever fashion collaboration, Starface tapped Marc Jacobs’ Heaven line for a hip collection of tattoo-inspired acne patches. Of course it’s sold out, but whether it be a restock or begging the brand’s PR for samples, I’ll be getting my hands on these. –YJ Lee, Head of Style

Jennie’s Met Gala look this past week was one of her strongest carpet appearances to date. The Chanel pantsuit with a full princess overskirt, all paired with ’90s-inspired makeup, landed the brand ambassador as one of Complex’s Best-Dressed Celebrities at the Met Gala. For afterparty festivities, Jennie stripped down to a beautiful lace bra and corset, and a mini tulle skirt layered over rhinestoned tights. After furious internet searching, I’ve found a couple resellers asking for upwards of $1,150 for these. I’m just going to continue dreaming about them. –YJ Lee, Head of Style

Where to Buy It: loewe.com and at select Loewe Boutiques
Price: $3,950
If your algorithm is anything like mine, you must have seen when the Loewe tomato tweet went triple platinum on X. You can finally buy the bag now, just in time for tomato season. Imagine going to the farmer’s market to buy tomatoes, carrying a tomato bag, then coming home to light your Loewe tomato leaf-scented candle while making a tomato salad. That’s the dream life right there, if you ask me. –Shinnie Park, Style Writer
