Ariana Madix Channelled ‘90s Pamela Anderson for Her Bombshell Beauty Look but Skipped One Secret Ingredient

At this point, it’s become a cliché to describe women as giving “bombshell,” the word having maxxed out its cultural potency thanks to Love Island.

But Ariana Madix, the host of Love Island USA and now Love Island Games, literally is giving 90s bombshell these days, channeling Baywatch-era Pamela Anderson with her makeup and hair.

In a rhinestone-covered dress with a tattoo pattern (custom by Taylor Jean Cox) and several layers of spray tan, Madix hosted Season 2, Episode 3 of Peacock’s competition-reality show while managing not to fall off platform strappy heels (bright red satin, va va voom) or let her several-inches-high updo topple, either.

The five-foot-five star basically performed an optical illusion to take up nearly six feet of vertical space.

And how’d she get that perfect, piece-y messy bun? According to a video shared by her hairstylist, Carl Bembridge, a healthy dose of hairspray was involved. And, we’d imagine, several clips and bobby pins.

But that’s not how OG Anderson did it. During a 2023 “what’s in my bag?” segment, the Naked Gun star revealed that more often than not, she’d use a pair of panties to tie her hair up, per Allure. Gotta love those tricks of the trade.
