Some brands don’t have sales very often. It’s supposedly a sign of prestige that you can never find a Nintendo game or an Apple MacBook marked down less than 25 percent, so in the rare instances that they happen, we say take advantage of deals like this. The 2024 13.6-inch MacBook Air is currently on sale on Amazon for $899, a hefty $200 off retail.
Is 18 percent off groundbreaking? Not for most products. But this is the best deal we’ve seen on this laptop that we absolutely love. You can read our full in-depth review of the MacBook Air M3, but essentially the new M3 processor has taken the Air lineup to new heights. It makes the laptop faster, offers better graphics performance, and will be useful for longer than the previous M2 models. We mention that chip because the 2024 M3 model is currently on sale for the same price as the 2022 MacBook Air M2. If you have a MacBook with an M1 chip or older, there is literally no reason to not upgrade to the newest generation right now and get one of the best thin laptops on the market.
Apple 2024 MacBook Air M3 13-inch Laptop
If you’re a MacBook Pro person, all but the most taxing video and photo editing can be done on the new M3 MacBook Air. If you’re a Windows person, this might be the MacBook that changes your mind. The MacBook Air M3’s is Apple’s attempt to make a true gaming laptop, and it’s really, really good. (Check the Esquire Gaming Awards in November to see how it fares against the pack.) As both a lifelong gamer and MacBook user since high school, I’ve tried gaming on MacBook Air models before to disastrous results. The M3 chip has turned that on its head.
Besides the performance, we’ve neglected to mention how fucking light this thing is. Apple has an Air reputation to uphold, and at only 2.7 pounds, this laptop is nearly a full pound lighter than the 14-inch MacBook Pro. Plus, the battery life is unstoppable—the best a MacBook Air has ever had.
If you’ve been saving your pennies for a new MacBook, and don’t need the power of a (hopefully releasing soon) MacBook Pro with M4 chip, there won’t be a better time to buy. Even with Prime Day (we assume it’s happening again) coming up this summer, we don’t expect this computer to be any cheaper than it is right now. It’s an absurdly good price on a product we’ve already said is worth the money. What are you waiting for?
