Charania first reported in December 2020 that Edwards would sign an endorsement deal with Adidas after being selected as the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft by the Timberwolves that year. Three years later, Adidas released Edwards’ first signature shoe, dubbed the AE 1, which is arguably the most popular signature model on the market. There’s also a low-top version of the shoe scheduled to hit retailers later this year.

On the basketball court, Edwards averaged 26.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists this season while being named an All-Star for the second consecutive year. The Wolves guard is also a member of Team USA for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

At the time of writing, Edwards or Adidas have yet to confirm the new extension.
