For years, Amal Clooney has favored what TikTok users are now referring to as “princess nails,” a short, squoval-shaped manicure with a glossy neutral polish, though she sometimes breaks away from nearly-nude shades in favor of a more seasonal option. This was clearly one-such occasion, as her stark white manicure stood out next to her impeccably tailored black dress.
This comes just a few weeks after Amal opted for her usual princess manicure at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where she broke dress-code in another off-the-shoulder black dress with a stunning, yet rebellious train.
Though Amal Clooney was not discouraged by the festival’s new ban on trains, she tends to be a stickler for seasonal manicure norms. You can often tell the time of year by Clooney’s choice of nail polish when she does decides to break away from her favorite nail look. For example, she opted for a short burgundy in late September 2024 and a festive cherry red in December 2023.
