If you were thinking it’s been a minute since the last Ryan Murphy show dropped, you’d be right. Which means All’s Fair, the showrunner’s latest campy dark comedy, is arriving right on time. In fact, All’s Fair has been in the works for a couple of years now, per Deadline. In fact, The Kardashians fans may remember a mention of the series in a May 2024 episode, in which Murphy talked about the show with Kris Jenner.
Now, All’s Fair is finally preparing to make its Hulu streaming debut.
The upcoming series stars many of the usual suspects in a Murphy joint (Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash), relative Murphy-verse newcomer Kim Kardashian, plus a couple of high-brow wild cards. The first All’s Fair trailer, which dropped on May 13, promises to deliver everything we’ve come to expect from a Ryan Murphy show, including dialed-up drama and the dark underbelly of a girl-power moment.
So, here is everything we know about All’s Fair.
What’s it about?
All’s Fair is about a team of high-powered female divorce lawyers, described in the official release (per Deadline) as, “Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game—they change it.”
Who’s in the cast?
Kardashian leads the all-star cast as divorce lawyer Allura Grant, and is joined by Paulson and Nash, as well as Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, and Teyana Taylor. But wait, there’s more. The show will also feature guest appearances from Judith Light, Grace Gummer, Brooke Shields, and, if I’m not very much mistaken, Jessica Simpson, who appears momentarily in the trailer.
When does All’s Fair premiere?
Tragically, we do not have a specific premiere date. We only know it is slated for fall 2025.
Is there a trailer?
You bet. The first teaser-trailer dropped on May 13, and let me tell you, it looks juicy. Set to “Cell Block Tango,” the trailer includes some already-iconic lines, such as Light saying, “You know what a woman’s best friend is? Not diamonds. Her lawyers.” Near the end of the two-minute video, Paulson sips her coffee and remarks drily, “That’s bitter. Just like all the women who own this joint.”
There are also shirtless men, thrown beverages, and many, many colorful pantsuits.
